Just reading that pagesturned orders books online before breakfast has had an immediate and uplifting effect on me, I've just had an awful bout of Amazon finger twitch, it's highly contagious, read no further if your immunity is low.
The blogbuzz trail is a great way of picking up good reading suggestions so firstly I've heeded my own and ordered the latest Amelie, The Life of Hunger and then had a mooch around looking for enough to make up the postage, it always comes to an unhelpful £14.97 doesn't it?
It came to me in a flash John McGahern is getting good blogviews over on exlibris, who heard about The Barracks from reading matters, so popped a couple of his in the basket.
That was enough for the freebie Royal Mail and with no T.C.Boyle's Talk Talk to be had on Amazon it was off to my second favourites Aphrohead Books of Southport for that. Aphrohead only sell via marketplace but they do it very nicely and reliably, new books, competitive prices, no tatty covers, polite e mails and very quick service.Talk Talk is getting strong reviews I must investigate.
