Well Susan Hill is not the only to get disconcerting e mails, just read this one from Glasgow, home of the brave...
Dear Mum
We were up in the car parks near my house when we took these pictures today.
Thank Rodie for the fab photography! I think that it's time that your blog had an enTIRE feature on me. Me me me. All the pictures please. You've mentioned the boys far too much and now it's my turn. An offspringette feature now please thankyou thankyou please.
Innit,

It's quite a nice feeling when your blog meets with the approval of even your internet and media-savvy offspring to the point where they want to be included so who am I to argue? A clear case of uncharacteristic sibling envy must be addressed.Herewith the firstborn at play or else...she may just pull the plug on BBC Scotland or schedule in 12 hours of non-stop Balamory.
The most compact of the bunch at birth and still small enough to fit into the boot of a Fiat Punto, which is a little disconcerting bearing in mind that I am currently reading The Risk of Darkness.
But as you can see a little bundle of energy out of the same adventure seeking mould, in fact as the first born and the one with the whacky imagination this is where the hairy scary ideas usually came from.Perhaps there is scope for The Dangerous Book for Girls? I could write that one. Just enlisted with the Territorials, heaven help the enemy; there was a memorable day when she drove the sit-on lawn mower, please don't anyone let her drive a tank!
Running, climbing, cycling, kite-flying and longboarding would seem to be the perfect antidote to hours spent cooped up with Springwatch, the egg-cam and Bill Oddie's migratory bird patterns and also the only alternative when you are missing the 'surf's up' signal, and that familiar year round pilgrimage to the beaches of Cornwall.
I'm also ever hopeful that this post could, just could lead to my first ever comment in Gaelic. Now that would be really exciting and perhaps the Gaelic for blog is preferable to what must be one of the worst words in the English language and I might use it.Come on Rodie, don't let me down!
