Well I've been tagged by Ex Libris for The Very Selective Book Meme and Ex Libris has tagged the only four people I know well enough to confidently tag in return so I'm going to have to shamelessly canvass elsewhere and the baton may well get stuck here with dovegreyreader.
Anyway here's mine
1.One book that changed your life
Testament of Youth by Vera Brittain
I truly understood just how cataclysmic the Great war was after reading this
2.One book that you've read more than once
The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood, actually read this 3 times
3.One book that you'd want on a desert island
The Complete Works of the Bard of course, Will and I have never really bonded and this may be our chance
4.One book that made you laugh
Women Who Run With Poodles: Myths and Tips for Honouring Your Mood Swings by Barbara Graham and Victoria Roberts
5.One book that made you cry
Skallagrigg by William Horwood, P622 to be exact
6.One book you wish you had written
Middlemarch by George Eliot
7.One book you wish had never been written
Couldn't possibly comment ...oh alright then, courage mon brave,
Women Who Run With Wolves : Contacting the Power of the Wild Woman by Clarissa Pinkola Estes and I know some people live and breath by it but it wasn't for me, let me run with a poodle any day, or even better a border collie.
8.One book you're currently reading
The Pendragon Legend by Antal Szerb
9.One book you have been meaning to read
Anna Karenina by Tolstoy
10.Now tag five people
This is tricky as everyone has been nabbed but, who dares wins, here goes, and if they are up for it I can't wait to read their lists.
Susan, Jessica, Adele, Ruth, and Ami McKay consider yourselves tagged!
