So what's been going on here then?
Cats on sofas!!!!
I've just staggered in the door back here in Devon and it seems not five minutes (but in fact it's possibly about 36 hours though I'm in a complete state of confusion about days and times), since we were caught in the most torrential of storms on the pier at Galveston as we disembarked from Rhapsody of the Seas.
Here's sunrise on Saturday crossing the Gulf of Mexico.
I have so much to tell y'all not least that I'm now fluent in Texan.I've just spent a week with 1800 of them and a funnier, more polite and entertaining crowd you just couldn't wish to meet.I almost know all the words to Deep in the Heart of Texas too and I certainly know the right place to clap four times.
I've also had the most fantastic time visiting Galveston, Montego Bay, Grand Caiman and Mexico.
Life on board ship is something else and already I'm struggling because I haven't eaten anything for at least twenty minutes.I'm mildly tanned based on being of that light English complexion that would end up in intensive care without lashings of Factor Thirty but the Caribbean was everything and more, the Gulf of Mexico just awesome and I only read ONE book, can you believe it?
Just couldn't take my eyes off the sea or failing that the backs of my eyelids.
I did buy a few books though so expect confessions any day.
I must say a big thankyou to Offspringette who has kindly blog-sat for me very capably and is now dancing round in her very dazzling Caribbean trousers and her Bob Marley bandana.
More soon and of course pictures to bore the pants off y'all but this sight is currently still imprinted on my mind; the most spectacular sunset last night as we flew over Detroit.
