Kay Dunbar kindly introduced me to James Long author of Ferney this afternoon and we had a very quick Ferney conversation before James dashed off to his event on the book he has co-written with his son Ben, The Plot Against Pepys. We discussed the horse and oats moment, there is to be a sequel and he's asked me to ask you a question.
The book was a very slow-burner first time around and the theory was that this was all down to the title which didn't say enough about the book.
So what do you all think?
Is that title too bland?
Do we need longer titles to make us buy a book?
If you've read it can you think of anything better?
Loads of feedback welcome because I told him there were millions of you and I'm not sure people ever believe me when I tell them that...there are millions of you aren't there?
