Hold onto your hats and polish the wellies because we are back onto as-and-when posting for the weekend for the Port Eliot Literary Festival.
I'm meeting up with Justine Picardie this afternoon before we mosey on over and check out the yurts and we're going to do a bit of blog planning, because hopefully Justine will be hopping on and off here over the weekend too...and who knows who else.
Port Eliot unlike any other litfest in the land, lots of music, carnival atmosphere and spontaneity alongside the bookish events and the weathermen promise us a fine day on Saturday at least.
So much I want to see too so I'm going to be running hither and thither like a thing possessed, oh yes and doing my 'performance'.
I've sat and read all your lovely comments (thank you again, I feel uplifted ) and will be quoting a few whilst extolling the joys and pitfalls of blogging along with the whole notion that really we were brought up not to show off so it all goes a bit against the grain for us children of the 50s.
I'll be quoting a few gems from my school reports just to keep me grounded,
Miss Horsburgh 1964 Maths : She is inclined to rely on others of late, has taken to giving less than her best. This would be a pity if it continued.'
I have to thank Janice at projectforty for inspiring that theme and, as I will be saying tomorrow, blogging etiquette always insists that we acknowledge our sources, so my grateful thanks to her for that little gem of inspiration.
Bookhound is packing up the picnic basket ready and will be roving camera man and perhaps do us a few sketches and cartoons too.
Right, on with the wellies and off we go.
