That's because we awarded ourselves a week's holiday, which you have to remember to do when you work from home, and what a week to choose...sensible.
Call me a risk-taker but I've done it.
I've put the thermal vests away and done the big winter to summer clothes clear out and changeover... reckless.
Flung wide all the doors and windows to let the spiders out and the scent of the wisteria in...intoxicating
Travelled up country twice....intrepid.
Whizzed off to see Oklahoma with Girls Night In...disappointing (the show not the company)
Turned the garden into an Orchard Tea Rooms of our own and sat in amongst the apple blossom with Bookhound (his arm not mine) and the Tinker and some W.I. baking from the Friday market...glorious.
Wondered whether we could ever remember a year when the apple blossom seems to have been quite so prolific and well-attached to the trees so late in May... remarkable.
Dreamed of bumper harvests and hiring apple crushers and pasteurisers as we contemplated the potential glut and a supply of our own apple juice...enticing.
Remembered last year so didn't go the whole gazebo...wise.
Got out the gravity recliners and just gravitationally reclined instead...heavenly.
And hoping you've all been enjoying some warmth and sunshine of your own wherever you are too.
PS Haven't had the 'It's time to switch the Aga off ' row yet...imminent.
