Orange Longlist Surprises

Don't you just love a longlist full of surprises and this bowl of Oranges may insist on closer inspection in the weeks to come because I seem to be so far off the pace here that I have read precisely two, The London Train and Whatever You Love.

Have given up twice on another, Room. 

Gave a spare copy of The Invisible Bridge to a friend and she sat up all night reading it.

Have Jamrach's Menagerie ready to open next

and several others lurking here somewhere...

Can someone persuade me why I should try and get past page fifty of Room for a third time?
