It's all go today but hallelujah, Sebastian Barry gets a third crack at the Booker, On Canaan's Side makes it through and now has some company on the book table, including a few old friends, some new chums and some real unknowns from small publishers. Just what I was ready for today, so I now feel quite invigorated at the prospect of discovering some of these if time and mood permits, and so far I have read precisely one.
