Placed into my hands by the Worshipful (apparently) Mayor of West Devon.
and I shared the WI Trophy for Most Points in Handicrafts thanks to...
and...
plus a second for the felted picture.
The Tinker gained two seconds for his tapestry and his picture, and we'd best not forget Bookhound and his Cox's Orange Pippins.
Or his highly successful, Guess the Weight and Length of the Atlantic Salmon, given that the theme of this year's show was the Tamar Valley, and a fly fishing demonstration may have resulted in casualties.
Roll Up...Roll Up...go on have a guess, what do you reckon, weight and length?
Sorry the prize has already gone, it was a lovely hamper of goodies.
And we won the local cider yet again in the raffle.
Meanwhile, our neighbour, as the crow flies, took a massive eight (or was it nine) trophies home in the fruit, veg and flower classes which serves him right because that's a lot of polishing, and also explains where all the goodness in our soil has leeched away to... even if his house is a mile away.
Right, you'll be very pleased to know that's an end to this shocking bout of bragging and boasting..oh apart from one more little 'thing' tomorrow that is, and then we have an autumn of great reading coming up, and I am very much looking forward to settling down with it all.
