I think I use the same picture every year but I love it, and though it's a bit ahead of itself this year as the primroses are only just starting to proliferate along the lane, they do make a nice virtual bouquet. It always reminds me of the little posies we were given at Sunday School to take home.
So a happy Mothering Sunday (here in the UK but please do feel included wherever you are) to anyone who 'mothers' or cares for (or about) someone else (which I think should include everyone) and special thoughts too for those who, for whatever reason, have a mum-shaped gap in their lives.
It's a gap which can often seem so huge on this day of all days.
So please do enjoy your virtual primroses and violets, put them in some water straight away (probably dunk the stems in some hot water...Curzon might be along to advise) and have yourselves a peaceful and gentle day.
