We did it!
The Tinker is in, and we only have about thirty boxes left to unpack and then he will be properly in. He is loving his little abode which is very quickly starting to look like home.
My thanks to the Happy Campers for posts this week, and for all your comments, especially about To Kill a Mocking Bird; I am planning a re-read in the light of all your insights. Coming early next week the other Happy Camper has written a wonderful report on Hilary Mantel's talk at the Bath Literature Festival, you won't want to miss it, our 'ilary was on top form as was the Happy Camper with some brilliant note-taking, for all of which I am very grateful.
Meanwhile this evening, settling down to write a blog post with some pics, my computer socketry has developed an earth leak and keeps tripping out the electricity for the entire house. We've narrowed it down but it's a daylight job so I write this in haste from my iPad via Blogsy and I hope it works, more to follow. For sure you will want to know just how many miles of skirting board I have painted this last week, and how much time I have spent thinking what a stupid idea skirting boards are anyway...until I see them done and think how lovely they look.
I hope you are all settling in for a lovely restful Easter weekend, predicted to be the coldest on record here in the UK, but with three woodburners on the go we plan to take no notice of that little detail, we have cake we'll be fine.
Did you all have hot cross buns today??
We did, and also remembered that last year we sat out and ate them under the apple trees as it was so warm...
