Two writers who I have mentioned here recently both venturing into the corridors of ether...that doesn't sound quite right, more like the anaesthetic department.
Anyway, Imran Ahmad whose book Unimagined I loved and reviewed here (remember that nice cuddly Imran on the book cover?) a while ago has set up a blog of his own here and I am really pleased to see he's shared his thoughts about Sally Clarke who sadly died this week. There is so much I could say about this tragic miscarriage of justice but Imran has said it all admirably.
I also read and loved When We Were Bad by Charlotte Mendelson recently and told you so here.
Charlotte has a new website here and I feel a bit old now because I see that she was born in the year I went to London as an 18 year old student nurse.
All this typed while I sit and eat Mothering Sunday chocolates amidst the aroma of Mothering Sunday flowers and an IOU for a Mothering Sunday DVD of The Queen.I had a long lie in (actually that's not so unusual) with breakfast and a cup of tea (to be honest that happens most days too) and waded around the Crimea and as a result you are going to get a Crimea-fest on here later this week.
Balaclavas and muffatees at the ready and as there is snow forecast you will need them.
